I have dedicated my academic and professional career, from undergraduate through graduate studies and beyond, to working with individuals and families impacted by trauma, relationship challenges, and addiction. My experience spans a variety of clinical and community-based settings, allowing me to support clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
I previously worked in a Level 10 Juvenile Corrections Facility, where I was part of the Team of One program, an innovative initiative focused on reducing recidivism while addressing the complex challenges faced by today's youth. This program was later adopted at the state level and continues to operate today.
I have also provided therapeutic services at Jessie's Place, a local child advocacy center, supporting children who have experienced trauma. During this time, I collaborated with the Sheriff's office, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Guardians ad Litem to help families heal and move forward after traumatic experiences.
My background includes work in Community Mental Health, where I provided inpatient and intensive outpatient addiction treatment services, including both individual and group therapy. I have worked with clients across a wide range of ages, cultural backgrounds, and life circumstances.
I provide therapy to individuals, parents and children, couples, and families, including those navigating reunification. My areas of specialization include trauma, family conflict, anxiety, depression, addiction, LGBTQ+ issues, autism spectrum disorders, co-occurring disorders, and other mental health conditions In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an expert witness for Citrus, Marion, Lake, Hillsborough, and Hernando Counties.
Clients often describe me as down-to-earth, honest, empathic, and approachable, with a sense of humor that helps create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your path toward healing and growth.
